Heads Up No Limit Hold’em - Collin Moshman
In spite of the relative popularity of heads up no limit hold’em, there has been very little written about it in the poker literature. So if you enjoy heads up, and a book comes around like this which deals with it exclusively, you’d be very wise to pick it up, especially when the author is an accomplished player such as Moshman. He is widely recognized as one of the authorities on the game, and is also one of the most sought after video coaches in the business.
Moshman’s specialty is heads up sit and go tournaments, so much of the book is devoted to this form of poker, although heads up cash players will find it a very good read as well. To be honest, this book isn’t quite as good as his other work on sit and go tournaments in general, but it’s still very good and is easily the best book on heads up poker around.
The material isn’t introductory by any means, and it’s directed toward players who have a good grasp of poker and are looking to master heads up play. So players who are already accomplished at the game may find the book a bit disappointing in that it doesn’t really get into the concepts at an advanced level. However I’d still recommend it to any player who is looking to get insight from a very good heads up player in order to increase their knowledge of this form of the game.
